The necklace around my neck is a very new gift from Jason. He gave it to me about two weeks before Christmas and it came as such a surprise. It is a thank you gift for all I went through to bring our son into the world.

There are two stones on the charm attached to the actual necklace -- and they are the birthstones of both of our children.

The thoughtfulness behind the present is overwhelming and as usual, I continue to feel blessed to be loved by such a wonderful man.

It is still so hard to believe that we are now a family of four.

Pickles???

As you may already have likely figured out, we have affectionately named our soon to be son "pickle".

With this information in mind, we are really hoping to find something in particular to compliment the season and our sons nickname.

We are looking for "pickle" Christmas tree ornaments. Have you seen any? Where?

If you see one, pick it up for us please. This is exactly what we want for the little guys first ever Christmas.

Jewelry Change: Clitoral Hood

My clitoral hood jewelry has been causing me some physical angst. It was never really the correct size for my hood being too short, making it a tight fit. My clit. hood is of an above average length, and so much so that no local piercer had a piece actually big enough, so the proper one would need to be special ordered.

It's been a year since I had my hood pierced and Jason had his PA put in. I've grown tired and sore lately from the ill fitting barbell laying alongside my clitoris. Especially since edema has swollen my pelvic floor and made it an excruciatingly evident reality that it needs to be changed.

For the last while I have even complained about it loudly enough that a friend went and ordered me a new piece of jewelry of a new shape (a banana) and a better length to make me happy.

The new piece has been either in my purse or on top of my dresser for about two months now and I have yet to get around to having someone put it in me.

Remembering of course that with the size of my pregnant belly, I have not been able to locate my own vulva in some time and can only see the jewelry while laying on the floor in front of a mirror.

An hour ago after getting out of the tub, I spread my legs for my guy and had him put in the new piece. Oh, the sweet relief of having that tight bit of stainless steel out of me and replaced with something more suitable for pleasure and aesthetics.

This has been the day from hell. I am exhausted, overly pregnant, uncomfortable, swollen and still drastically behind on my work load.

And as I type out this whine, I am eating one of my birthday gifts from friends C & M.

Baby Registery (we're getting close now)

If you are one of the people in my life whose been asking me what the baby is in need of, this post should answer that question and satisfy your curiosity all at once.

A few weeks back Jason and I spent an afternoon at Babies R Us where we went and registered with their Gift Registry. They give you a scanner and you wander through the store bar code scanning all the items that you need. Jason had the scanner in hand and enjoyed shooting at items that appealed to us ... it was a rather fun process and bonding experience.

We have already bought a lovely deep brown new crib and change table, along with a matching car seat and deluxe stroller combo. This is all set up and ready to go. Plus the babies room is painted fresh and all scrubbed out.

Lounge members T & E gifted us with boxes upon boxes of baby boy clothes and an assortment of other really cool swag necessary to parenting an infant.

We have even more clothes that we've purchased and truth be told the little guy needs no further clothing. Everything is washed and folded and put away according to sizes.

So the items that we have requested on the gift registry are all items that we are in need of and do not currently have.

Bringing You up To Speed

I know, I know, its been a few days since I've managed to type out a post here. Time has just escaped me, at least on a personal level. Let me fill you in.

Thursday night Jason left for a conference and that left the teenager and I home alone for a night in of girl time. Then Friday she left for a retreat weekend with sixty other teenagers a boat ride away.

Friday night I was on my own running the Sensual Massage night at The Lounge which nineteen lucky people attended. It was well executed and is already scheduled to happen next month as well. The touch, attention, massage and energy was all incredible, I came home from the event feeling really pleased with how things went went.

Saturday I woke early and ran about packing two separate bags. One load of stuff was for the afternoon class I was hired to teach to sixteen woman at a bridal shower in Yale Town. The class was a huge success for everyone present and I was even asked to teach at another shower of one of the other women next month as well. What an honor to be requested back to do what I do so well. They praised me endlessly, which of course left me feeling awesome.

The second bag I had packed in the morning was for the evening party I was hosting. Sultry, Libido Lounges couples only bath house soiree. From teaching a private class to hosting a party I transitioned effortlessly between events. Truth be told I had some help, and could not have done it so easily without my friends. The lovely Red and S. Plus the dynamic duo of K & L. These people really out did themselves with doing the bath house set up for me, being pregnant and without Jason meant that their help made it all possible for me.

Sultry was different this month ... our first one of the season. It ran not at full capacity and with people catching up with one another after the summer hiatus. Much happened but the most memorable for me personally was myself and another woman "doing" a good friend of ours. Three chicks playing together is always adventurous. Tomorrow is a day of recovery, which is needed desperately, especially since my wisdom teeth are coming out this week. There is no rest for the wicked that's for certain.

Friends are a gift

I love Seattle, we got in at 3:30 this morning. It's been a long day that's for certain.

Today has given me the chance to see so many friends and feel love in abundance.

I am surrounded by many, many wonderful friends and volunteers.

Today my man and I ran Member Orientation and another dozen people, were processed through as members of Libido Lounge. A half dozen men and a half dozen women. Sweet.


That RC is always at my side, and so lovingly, well it is just a dream come true. His efforts to assist me with my work load, are so appreciated. With out him, much of what I do would go unaccomplished or be half complete. I love him dearly.

After Orientation there was an hour long break so we could set-up for Exploratorium. Half of the new members from orientation stayed on for the next event, and another eleven joined them, making the head count of attendees seventeen. Add in eleven volunteers, plus myself and you have twenty nine people. Everyone sampled our booths, and everyone was laughing, exploring, pushing their boundaries, facing fears, learning new techniques and meeting new people. The event had such a great turn-out, despite the weather being so cold and the yucky snow.

It took eleven volunteers to make Exploratorium happen. Each arrived on time and shared their skill sets and enthusiasm with all. That I can count on these friends monthly for this awesome event is huge, they are the back bone of the Lounge, the glue, they are all members themselves and share my passion for Libido Lounge and sex positivity.

I thank each of you from the bottom of my heart. Know that each attendee today who sampled your booth and it's offerings entrusted you with themselves and this happened because I trust you. You have earned my respect, trust and admiration and freely it is yours.


Some of you I love, and all of you I admire. I am honored to call you all my friends and blessed that you gift the Lounge with your time.

Gifts

At my folks place still, the island has copious amounts of snow. My grand-parents came over this afternoon and evening for dinner, gifts and visiting. It has been a nice time seeing everyone, however I would like to see the holidays over finally.

I continue to eat too much food and nap daily. Not my usual way to spend a day. I am so eager to resume my regular routine.

My 36th Birthday

Today is the day I was born. Thirty six years have been passed and this occasion of my birth has been celebrated differently each and every year.

As a young child, I was thrown a party year after year by my parents. My school friends and neighborhood friends came bearing gifts, we played games, ate cake and everyone left with a goodie bag.

Around ten the parties stopped (my parents separated), I still wanted a party, but it was no longer deemed appropriate by some force greater than me: schedules and parents. Sighs.

In my turbulent teen-aged years, there were a few birthdays that were not even acknowledged. It could even be said that the day even passed by me, unnoticed more than once, sadly. Away from my parents living elsewhere I can only assume they knew the day and held a candle for me, with sadness in their hearts.

In between teen years and twenties I hated myself and the world and wanted no part of joyous life, let alone love and family. I rebelled, alone.

In my early twenties I was a young mother already and my birthday ceased to be important. I knew the date, but what really mattered was the day I gave birth to my daughter, not the day of my own birth.

In my late twenties a relationship partner made my birthday special. Honoring the day and making it memorable with gifts and cards.

In my early thirties I wanted to celebrate my birthday with friends and I did, though it was an effort on my behalf. Odd expectations on my behalf as I had so little experience being celebrated. My birth family and I had rekindled our ties and together we found a groove to pay homage to my birth that made me feel like I was a part of the family, again. All was not completely lost.

Here I sit at thirty six years old today. I am surrounded by more friends than I ever could have dreamed of, stronger family ties, a teenage daughter whom loves me incredibly, a wonderful man in my life who thinks I rock the big one and tons of self love as well.

My birthday is special, though what I find more special is the exorbitant number of people who celebrate me.

For a girl who was so troubled in her youth to arrive at thirty six so solidly held up by so many people who love me is enormously gratifying. I only wish I had in my younger years what I know now. It would have made my life so much easier. Then again with age comes wisdom.

Over eighty emails have poured in to me today. Cards, gifts and phone calls have kept me feeling special all day.

I am so glad that I made it through my youth, to be able to enjoy the gift of all of you.

Enjoying being me

Today is the day before my birthday and I chose to sleep in, all by myself in the house. I have no plans for today, other than working from home, naked. There is always much work on my computer and telephones that need my attention.

Tomorrow I shall sleep in again and I believe we are going out for a fancy dinner, involving large steaks and crab. I will be with people who love me.

My In-box is already gathering a rather enormous collection of well wishes and notes of kindness from those who know me. It sure is nice to be so well thought of. Having such wonderful people in my life is reassuring and a true blessing.

I have been given some nice gifts by some very generous people. I have no plans on listing out the goodies, but lets just say, it feels like a windfall. Thank you to everyone thus far who has left me or handed me a present.

I am now heading back to working on the new websites calendar.

It's so easy to update now, with the interface involved. This makes my professional life so much easier, which of course was one the two goals of getting the site professionally done.

dumb answer to an easy question

Today was a lovely day, charming in-fact.

I slept in this morning with RC, setting the stage for a relaxed pace for the rest of my day.

My favorite lunch was mine, sushi.

A fantastically surprising find of yet another corset from New World Designs in Gastown in this very unusual color is now in my corset cabinet.

I was one of four sex experts at Rhodes College today, speaking on a panel about sex.

Another Apple Product

Earlier around eight this morning, I awoke ready to start my day. My sleep schedule has been off lately and I am getting very little sleep each night, perhaps four or five hours only. This should turn around fairly quickly I hope, but at the moment its a bothersome side effect of my current stresses.

This morning is four hours on the computer catching up on emails and updating various items with necessary information. I am doing this naked on the sofa, with my iBook on my lap and next to me, a rather extravagant new accompanying product.

My phone died recently, suddenly simply refused to turn on. So with my SIM card in hand, I put it back in my original Fido cheap ass, basic generic phone that came with my contract five years ago when I got my first cellular. The phone worked, yet did nothing, it sucked the big one in a HUGE way. And it kept making long distance phone calls to Allena for no apparent reason. Seriously.

Not being a tech savvy woman, it makes me uncomfortable to even think about having to research out the correct products for my gadget needs and then to feel confident enough in my decision to make such a purchase.

I awoke the other morning to RC handing me a new iPhone. We match, we both have one now. It is so pretty. How sweet of him to give me such a gift. Not just the phone, but all loaded up too. All my information is loaded in. My contacts are where they belong. Most of my music. I love the internet capability and web surfing. The camera is awesome. RC even installed iWoman to keep track of my period for me. If I have time, I need to run out later this afternoon and find myself a case for my phone. Must keep it safe.

Tonight is SULTRY our Bath House Event. There are twenty one couples joining us for the party. There is a little bit of work to do this afternoon picking up items that need moved down there, but over all, not much effort is required. Just some time. I am eager to spend time with all our friends and the new people who will be there too. The event is really fantastic.

Another load of books were donated last night at the Members Party, SIXTY FOUR to be exact.

Five new DVD's and thousands of hours of music put on our portable hard-drive, by a friend.

And someone else brought in three new adult board games.

keeping track of it all

There are more thoughts and posts rolling around my head right now than I can really keep track of. Here is a sampling of my ponderings...

1. We went to The Kiss Store yesterday, excellent service and what a great sex store. It's a little tucked away, but damn if it wasn't full of tonnes of quality adult products that are usable and not of the disposable variety. Main & Broadway - check them out!
2. I'm the proud new owner of a very menacing and dangerous knife as a gift from RC. It came with a sleek case, has a fixed blade and a glorious "gut hook". Utilizing it in play shall make for a very hot scene.
   
3. A purchase of a Guess open toed pair of shoes in burnt red with a brilliant heel, happened just in time for our trip to the Caribbean next week. They are incredibly sexy.
   
4. Due to said trip next week, I have already started packing my luggage and sorting through my summer clothes to see what I will be bringing with me and what I still need to purchase.

7. A new friend "Martin" showed up in class with me bearing this thoughtful gift. I can't wait for the chance to lay on the beach and read it shortly.
8. The vulva project is underway. There is a large, yoni being designed for me right now, and I can not wait for the chance to show everyone once its complete.
