Bringing You up To Speed
I know, I know, its been a few days since I've managed to type out a post here. Time has just escaped me, at least on a personal level. Let me fill you in.
Thursday night Jason left for a conference and that left the teenager and I home alone for a night in of girl time. Then Friday she left for a retreat weekend with sixty other teenagers a boat ride away.
Friday night I was on my own running the Sensual Massage night at The Lounge which nineteen lucky people attended. It was well executed and is already scheduled to happen next month as well. The touch, attention, massage and energy was all incredible, I came home from the event feeling really pleased with how things went went.
Saturday I woke early and ran about packing two separate bags. One load of stuff was for the afternoon class I was hired to teach to sixteen woman at a bridal shower in Yale Town. The class was a huge success for everyone present and I was even asked to teach at another shower of one of the other women next month as well. What an honor to be requested back to do what I do so well. They praised me endlessly, which of course left me feeling awesome.
The second bag I had packed in the morning was for the evening party I was hosting. Sultry, Libido Lounges couples only bath house soiree. From teaching a private class to hosting a party I transitioned effortlessly between events. Truth be told I had some help, and could not have done it so easily without my friends. The lovely Red and S. Plus the dynamic duo of K & L. These people really out did themselves with doing the bath house set up for me, being pregnant and without Jason meant that their help made it all possible for me.
Sultry was different this month ... our first one of the season. It ran not at full capacity and with people catching up with one another after the summer hiatus. Much happened but the most memorable for me personally was myself and another woman "doing" a good friend of ours. Three chicks playing together is always adventurous. Bondage, necking, nipple torture, pussy spanking and a footing too. Yes, I typed that correctly, a footing. Think fisting, now flip that idea around and think about a foot. The sex was wet, sweaty, loud and yeah, orgasmic. The victims clitoris may have been subjected to stretching and some flicking that made it swell to epic proportions. It was a merry good time.
I got home Sunday morning around 1AM, and was in bed by two. Awaking this morning around 10 so I could make the trek back to the Lounge for Hatha Nude Yoga, and then Member Orientation where another seven people became our newest inductees. A long time blog reader of mine became a member today along with his wife and they brought me a lovely freshly baked gift too. Getting to know them better in real time, and not on the internet is going to be interesting. They seem even more cool than I had imagined them to be.
Back home to our nest this evening around 6PM to the teenager back again from her antics while away and my man home early too. What a surprise. With an entire weekend of the house to myself and I had not a chance to enjoy a single moment of solitude. Though having everyone here in such a comforting feeling.
Tomorrow is a day of recovery, which is needed desperately, especially since my wisdom teeth are coming out this week. There is no rest for the wicked that's for certain.

Sexuality Resource Vancouver
The telephone rings non stop some days and this is one of those days. And it is on these days that my e-mail count is more than I can even look at with any hope. Add to it, that I answer the easy ones first, which means what remains are the time consuming ones that take forever to deal with.
I am in the middle contract negotiations with a couple of different professional entities right now, writing new classes and content for my new presentation gigs, and still trying to wade through what The Lounge membership needs from me.
It is all a little heady, and I awoke this morning to my phone ringing over and over and yeah, an email box, swelling, close to bursting. It could be said that I am cranky at the moment as I lay here in bed with my laptop trying to figure out how I am going to complete all this work in the next thirty six hours, which is when most of it is officially due on a time line that is not my own.
Tonight is Sultry our bathhouse event, and there is a rather impressive crowd gathered for it. It will be a nice distraction from the mundane typing task and a welcome one too. However I fear that it will also cost me as I shouldn't really be taking an entire evening away from my commitments, alas, Sultry too is a commitment.
Time to stop blogging and dive back into work. Hopefully I'll come back up for air before I drown in obligations.

Conference Building
This evening's class went so great, I was really pleased with the attendees and the flow of the information exchange.
We are currently working on our big 2009 Conference for Libido Events, and I have a list of twenty two potential educators. It is an impressive menu of topics to choose from and the experience level and notoriety of those we are looking at is over-the-top.
We are not releasing any information on the presenters chosen or topics until the contracts have all been completed. There are too many posers kicking around who'd love nothing more than to piggy back on our efforts, and that will so not be happening around here.
When the final line up is chosen and everything is compiled, it will knock your knickers off of you. Money, hard work, dedication and creativity have gone a long way to bringing this weekend together thus far.
Big names, great authors, fabulous draws, passionate people and lusted over topics will all be brought together for a sensational weekend experience for the attendees.
Sponsors are coming together nicely as are the sponsorship dollars needed to make this such a BIG DEAL for the sex positive communities.
I can't stress enough how excited we are to be able to put this together so uniquely and well done.
The call for volunteers, from the outside, will not be happening for a while, but once it does, get your name on the list fast, as the opportunity to be a part of this is priceless.
The URL is taken care and now we have planning and advertising to work on. With a budget like ours, and finances all taken care, we have the chance to go BIG. It's a win for everyone involved.

On The Fast Track
There are a number of items in my professional life right now that are pleasing me to no-end. My family is equally as happy for me too. In no particular order they are
I have sacrificed and put up with so much bullshit to be where I am and to be hand delivered all the rewards that are now coming my way. Believing in ones self and doing great work has finally paid off, both financially and also in terms of respect.
Days may be long and I may work hard, exceptionally hard, but what I have, I have earned myself.
Here's to Positive Thinking, Tenacity and A Labor of Love. And gratitude for supportive friends and a loving family.
- I have been asked to be in a Feature Film, teaching one of my classes from my Erotic Arts Curriculum. We are talking about money right now and credits.
- I have been requested to give some of my time on Prime Time TV very shortly, giving an interview about Libido Events and Libido Lounge. They came to me for this, and I could not possibly say no. Whole heartily Yes! What an opportunity for exposure to a whole new audience and thus member base.
- We gained another new Life Time Member at Libido Lounge today, an incredible feat, and I am so elated by this.
- Yesterday a post secondary institution asked me to do a four part series for them from my Erotic Arts Curriculum. Paid gig of course and the exposure is just great. Yes, oh yes.
- Tonight I was in Surrey teaching my Cock Sucking class, and hell did it ever go fantastically. The store, O'Behave and I have a wonderful working agreement and plans for exciting future events together as well. I will be teaching there in November again.
- I acquired a few new sex toys today to add to my teaching bag, I am so eager to try them out and start including them in my educational offerings.

I picked up Jay Wiseman early today and have him with me safely here in Vancouver. We went out for a fabulous lunch with his home stay hosts this afternoon.
Tonight is the big Pride meeting for all participants, which is of course, where RC and I are off to next. Today has been one important meeting after another.
Of course we hope to have you in one of the Wiseman classes we'll be offering over the next two days. (before the bondage party and social Friday evening which of course he is the Guest of Honor at)

On Being Original
There are days when I am capable of accomplishing so much, and others that virtually nothing seems to be completed. This week appears to be about "taking care of business" and forging through the copious amounts of paper that is before me.
I'm not very pleased at how much work that I have to tend to in the next few days. I am however very impressed with the people that have stepped up, out-of-the-blue to aid me in not only getting the jobs done, but taking them from me, thus allowing professionals to worry about the stuff that plagues me with stress.
I have HUGE stuff going on right now in my life, but I don't want to share. Lest another try and take on, what is mine to conquer. I love pioneering in sex - culture and having others stand back and watch with their mouths gaping open before they jump into my world with both feet, and land safely. Creating sex - culture, breaking down taboos, opening doors for enlightenment and friendship and showing others how to be sex positive is simply my gift. It's pretty amazing too.
It's pretty outrageous how many events & groups in this province I have had a hand at creating in some way shape or form: either directly because I was asked for assistance or indirectly as the groups scooped up my formulas and past event plans as theirs because they couldn't come up with anything on their own.
Pioneering is what I do, and its kinda overwhelming how many people follow me. I find funny the lurkers, the ones in the shadows who follow my every move.
And my support, friendships, networking allies, income and success all come from my being genuinely ME and working my ass off for the last ten years. Thankfully this is one thing that no one else can replicate.

All over the map
They arrived one after another. Seventeen people were at Member Orientation tonight. What a great group of individuals to welcome to our new home and sex culture.
I thoroughly enjoyed the class, and much humor was intermixed as well making everything light, fun and fast paced for all.
Can you believe that we are over 280 members deep already? And still going strong. By years end, I can't wait to see where we are with our member base in terms of numbers.
I've been readying for the Abbotsford Taboo show next week. Those of you who sent in your SASE should have your FREE tickets by now, or Monday as I mailed them out a few days past.
If you plan on attending make sure you take in one of my classes or at the least come by and say hello.
It looks as though I have a new contract with a different large entity and may be ready to start making announcements some time soon. Once their deposit check clears and I know exactly what I will be doing I'll update you with the particulars. Really just information on what channel and when as I wouldn't want any one to miss me educating and inspiring the general public with what we are all so passionate about.
The attention is a tad nerve wracking though the exposure is more than I ever could afford out of my own pocket. So, on with the show!

EXCITING NEW SPECIAL EVENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Couple's Only Play Event is now going to be a quarterly party with 24 couples only, so limited tickets each time. The Women's Only Play Event is now going to be a quarterly event and it will be limited to 50 tickets per event.
The Weekend Conference is a yearly event, and is an enormous undertaking. Watch how well we do it too as our team of volunteers is inspiring.
The two workshops with the acclaimed author are long overdue, we've been friends for a few years, working together finally just fell into place now. You'll love this educators books, they make learning the sexy stuff, really easy.
The Who What Where When and How Much questions will be answered shortly for those of you who are fascinated already by the intrigue of all these exhilarating delights.
This has all become possible because, as you may have been surmising we're about to make yet another incredible announcement from Libido Events as to what we've been doing at Libido Lounge. Very very soon.

This email is a reminder about tonight's, SATURDAY AUGUST 4th PLAY PARTY starting at 8:00 p.m and running through to 1:30 a.m. A write up about the Play Party followed by 20 Tips for Success at the party for you to read over before attending. A small write up about parking, reminders about clothing requirements and how to store your belongings at our party, plus at the very end of this mail out is a small list of needed items. The elevator doors open into a red-carpeted room lit with light bright enough to see by yet dim enough to create an inviting mood. A smiling volunteer offers to check any coats and bags you won't be needing for the evening ahead of you. Then after making your payment, you are finally permitted to see what is behind the screen blocking your view of the rooms and noise beyond.
A full pay bar sits at one side of the main room (you can leave your credit card with them), which holds chairs and candle-lit tables with light snacks for a casual socializing atmosphere. Further on, there is a massive room, 2500 sq. ft set up with BDSM furniture (suspension frames, spanking benches, tables with anchor points, intermixed with massage tables and other naughty sex pieces) and beyond them is a no-voyeurs room for couples only sex play with six full beds and 1000 sq ft. The space has music piped in and contains a stocked area of safer sex supplies, fresh bedding, massage oils and cleanup supplies. Even if you are early, you may see someone already at play in the rooms -- people here are keen to have fun and make the most of their night out.

Jennifer's Tips for a Successful Experience at a Libido Events Play Party
1. Be friendly, make eye contact and introduce yourself to everyone you meet or sit next to. Smile.
2. Be complimentary of the people you meet, there is an attractive quality in or on everyone, find it and make that your compliment. Watch what happens when you make someone feel good about themselves.
3. Keep a respectable distance when watching people play and offer no comments, positive or otherwise. Make no deliberate eye contact with people playing, it's a mood breaker that violates others sacred space.
4. Invite or offer play once to the person you’re interested in. If met by a no, accept it gracefully, don’t take it personally and move on; do not make a request of someone twice. Smile
5. If invited to play by someone that doesn’t interest you, be kind, yet firm, when saying no, and remember it took a lot of courage for that person to put themselves out there. Smile and be grateful for the attention.
6. Have no expectations, then what does happen, will be a bonus.
7. Watch whatever you like and turn your back on anything that isn't of interest to you, but never offer comment.
8. Buy someone a drink or exchange e-mail addresses, make a new friend, two or three.
9. Thank the volunteers that help make this event possible and make your experience a positive one. (makes them feel good and helps you get comfortable talking to people in sex-positive space)
10. If you have a problem with a person, an activity going on, or understanding something, find a Monitor (wearing a PINK armband) or Jennifer to help you figure things out.
11. Remember to treat the venue with respect & tidy up after yourself. This includes putting garbage in the proper containers supplied in each room. Changing your sheets in the sex room after using a bed and putting the soiled sheet in the rooms laundry bin. Spraying down a piece of equipment in the Play rooms after playing on it; use the sanitizer and paper towels provided.
12. Be prepared to talk about yourself in some way and at the same time, listen to who you are standing in front of. This is for those that are hoping to play with the person. Smile
13. Treat everyone well. You will want to be known as that type of person. This will make you more comfortable, thus making others comfortable with you and opportunities to present themselves.
14. Never touch someone without their full consent & welcome.
15. Adhere to our House Rules posted at the Naughty Party. Smile.
16. If you are a man attending and plan on attending alone, know that your chances for finding play in any form go up exponentially if you arrive with a date.
