Finally with a few minutes to reflect on last Saturdays Play Party and I'm overwhelmed with positivity. Let me share...

1. Set up 5 full beds, 6 massage tables, 7 pieces of BDSM equipment, 1 eight-ft. tall suspension frame, 2 cuddle stations, 1 lounge area filled with 6 large tables & surrounding chairs then brought in a myriad of party supplies to keep things going all night long.

2. RC & I joined another couple in the sex play room, coming out tousled and spent a short while later

3. All volunteers showed up on time, treated everyone with such respect to the point of accolades being sent from party attendees via email to thank me for such wonderful support help.

4. Watched as my guy had a play experience in front of me for the first time, that did not involve me. (I've traveled this road with partners before yet this is all new territory for RC; I'm checking his pulse often to make sure he's doing o.k, though the perma grin on his face sort of makes one believe he's doing just fine in the world of poly)

5. Met an outrageous amount of new people who had the time of their lives.

6. Was able to catch up with many long term community members, and loved, just loved the conversations about Stinky Tink, McEwan, and community sex-politics. Real conversations, honest information and again, I gathered even more support. Tis' good to have friends.

7. The support from everyone at the party, had me feeling the love surrounding the old Libido Lounge Surrey issue.

8. Played with an astounding number of people. Kissing many women. Aiding others to discover something new. Leading some to new heights of pleasure. Flirted shamelessly, it's part of my job description. Assisting umpteen individuals out of their street clothes as the transition at the door is difficult for some. Couples, and even a triad I found myself in the middle of. Yet I kept my knickers on all night long. How did that happen? Perhaps I'm just a giver.

9. Had a couple fly from Winnipeg Manitoba to attend the Play Party - they made many new friends and I was flattered by their arrival

10. Booked 2 new clients in for Private Coaching work later this week

11. At the front counter, I found a total of 4 large bags of sheets donated to the Play Party. Bonus for the event as sheets and duvet covers were super nice and already covering our beds by nights end.

12. Booked Play Parties for the rest of the year, on a monthly basis, because quite frankly there is not an atmosphere similar to Libido Events anywhere else locally. Our sex-positivity shines through in all that we do and people are demanding that I offer these regularly so they will have options in where to go to get their kink-on in the city as their current options are rather bleak in comparison to our Splash.

13. Party-goers were on our door step even before we opened, and at nights end (1:30 a.m.) I was helping people towards their coats.

14. Dyke and queer women in abundance in our inclusive space, as well as girly girls left right and center. Then again, who could forget the women.

The parade was magnificent, despite the two lone protesters who set up their home base right next to us for the duration of the event. The man in the photo and I had a short talk, then he promptly gave me a Get Out Of Hell For Free Card.

My God loves me and is not sending me to Hell for my sexual preferences. Instead my God, has given me a living heaven, ripe with the fruits of pleasure for me to enjoy. This is a reward for being true to myself, and my God.

The elevator doors open into a red-carpeted room lit with light bright enough to see by yet dim enough to create an inviting mood. A smiling volunteer offers to check any coats and bags you won't be needing for the evening ahead of you. Then after making your payment, you are finally permitted to see what is behind the screen blocking your view of the rooms and noise beyond.

A full pay bar sits at one side of the main room (you can leave your credit card with them), which holds chairs and candle-lit tables with light snacks for a casual socializing atmosphere. Further on, there is a massive room, 2500 sq. ft set up with BDSM furniture (suspension frames, spanking benches, tables with anchor points, intermixed with massage tables and other naughty sex pieces) and beyond them is a no-voyeurs room for couples only sex play with six full beds and 1000 sq ft. Jennifer's Tips for a Successful Experience at a Libido Events Play Party

1. Be friendly, make eye contact and introduce yourself to everyone you meet or sit next to. Smile.

2. Be complimentary of the people you meet, there is an attractive quality in or on everyone, find it and make that your compliment. Watch what happens when you make someone feel good about themselves.

3. Keep a respectable distance when watching people play and offer no comments, positive or otherwise. Make no deliberate eye contact with people playing, it's a mood breaker that violates others sacred space.

4. Invite or offer play once to the person you’re interested in. If met by a no, accept it gracefully, don’t take it personally and move on; do not make a request of someone twice. Smile

5. If invited to play by someone that doesn’t interest you, be kind, yet firm, when saying no, and remember it took a lot of courage for that person to put themselves out there. Smile and be grateful for the attention.

6. Have no expectations, then what does happen, will be a bonus.

7. Watch whatever you like and turn your back on anything that isn't of interest to you, but never offer comment.

8. Buy someone a drink or exchange e-mail addresses, make a new friend, two or three.

11. Remember to treat the venue with respect & tidy up after yourself. This includes putting garbage in the proper containers supplied in each room. Changing your sheets in the sex room after using a bed and putting the soiled sheet in the rooms laundry bin. Spraying down a piece of equipment in the Play rooms after playing on it; use the sanitizer and paper towels provided.

12. Be prepared to talk about yourself in some way and at the same time, listen to who you are standing in front of. This is for those that are hoping to play with the person. Smile

13. Treat everyone well. You will want to be known as that type of person. This will make you more comfortable, thus making others comfortable with you and opportunities to present themselves.

ITW 2007

Wow, what a trip we had. The whole time we were away we were inundated with friends, good company and excellent weather. Could not have prayed for a better [work] holiday.

We were in Ferndale Washington at ITW, the annual fundraiser for the Triskeli Guild. So much happened that made me stop and go, I must blog about this but of course I did not bring a computer. Bear with me now as I try to recount but a few of the highlights of camping out with almost 200 kinky perverts in the middle of nowhere for days on end, with a goal of community building and fun in mind.

HighLights

-time with RC away from the distractions of cell phones and computers

-selling RC on the auction block as a slave AND having a woman "buy" him

Low Lights

-Should have brought my gum boots, to wear in the fields. They were not brought because RC said they were unnecessary, he will be punished for this.

-Horrible mosquito swarms, black clouds of them one night only.

-The taste of Deet on nipples & inner thighs, it is worse than Buckleys. Deet works wonders at keeping the bugs at bay.

-We took a double futon mattress with us and I've decided that next month when we're camping an air mattress underneath our bed is required for my comfort.

ACADIA BEACH. A section of greater Wreck Beach (see above), between Towers Beach (nude) and Spanish Banks West Beach (textile), northeast of Ulksen (Point Grey). Good for people less physically able: trail very short and gentle.
From top of Trail 6 (the main trail to Wreck Beach), go north on Marine Dr. (the main road around UBC) to big intersection of Chancellor Blvd. and Marine Dr. Turn left. Continue north, then curving east on NW Marine Dr., which goes downhill. As the road curves right, almost to sea level, there's a small dirt parking lot on the left. It adjoins the beach.
From beaches to the east (Jericho Beach, Kitsilano, etc.): go west on 4th Ave., which turns into NW Marine Dr., winding past popular clothed beaches. After you pass Spanish Banks West Beach, you'll see many trees on the right, before uphill stretch of Marine Dr. There, a small parking lot is on the right, adjoining beach.

CRESCENT ROCK BEACH. In south-west Surrey. 6.5 km long: south from Crescent Beach (in south-west Surrey), then east to White Rock. 50-year nude use, though not officially recognized. Use any shore out of sight of trains and hikers. 3 main naturist areas:
-- Most-used part: from Crescent Beach, walk south 10 min.; or from west end of 24th Ave., descend "101 Steps", then south 200 m (just past the giant Crescent Rock Boulder) and around the next point (another 200 m until sand ends and shore is seen from tracks).
-- In Ocean Park area of Surrey, go to west end of 15A Ave.; descend "1001 Steps"; walk north 500 m to "126 mile" railway sign, at many raised beds built above high tide.
-- From White Rock, go south on 140th St. = Nichol Rd. Respect parking rules. Continue to end, Terry Rd., then east 1 block to stairs. Descend to beach, then 1 km west to "124 Mile" marker on tracks, just into Surrey. Use next 1.6 km of beach.

withdrawal

I quit consuming caffeine 7 long months ago now. I say long months, but rather it wasn't really that long, just the first few weeks where I struggled a little, and now not so bad at all. To confess I do still now and again have a longing for a caffeine jolt, especially with the pace I keep. It was necessary to stop though and an excellent decision for my physical health, and sleep patterns.

my Saturday

Every now again, a Saturday happens that is just a blast.

Yesterday was spent lounging around the house after I finally rolled out of bed and RC's arms late morning, or rather, right before noon. There is nothing better than a rainy day on the sofa, naked in a quiet house.

Today being The 26th Annual Wreck Beach Day, with plenty of activities going on. RC and I made it into the 2007 Annual group photo, something that thrills me to pieces. That I had on my pink hat, will make finding us, at the top of the letter V, in the word LOVE, easy. I can't wait to purchase some of the post cards they print and of course a larger image too.


We spent the better part of the day naked at the beach, it was mental down time for us both. Rejuvenating to be one with nature, sans the restraints of public clothing. Together we played Scrabble, ate good food, sun-bathed, people watched, swam, hiked and for seven hours basked in the beauty of our surroundings. Glorious day!

They, as in "The City of Surrey" had told me to expect a call from them by today with news as to the status of the Libido Lounge business license that they are holding out on.

Of course, no call = no news.

Today my car put itself to rest, suddenly.

It was of course a dramatic ending and, at the height of afternoon rush hour.

The Ford Escort was a 93, having 309 thousand on it, a lot of mileage.

I drove it hard, having been the one to put most of the miles on the car as I was the second owner but I cared for it well and I used it to the bitter end. It had a good life and served me well.

Earlier this evening RC took me out to a large parking lot not far from home and patiently taught me how to drive a standard, something I had eluded learning till now.

Can you believe he sat in the passenger seat, smoking a cigar the whole time. A Cuban one none-the-less.

Being able to drive a standard is a necessary skill for me to acquire seeing as my next vehicle is none other than a .......
