spirituality, sexuality & the Pope

Now I don't practice a religion but I do have my own beliefs and consider myself to be spiritual.

I still have respect for Pope Benedict and am in awe of his conviction BUT his statements sure bothered me. (in fact they are still bothering me)

As a Canadian, a mother and a proud woman loving woman bi sexual.

I was beside myself with delight in 2005 when Canada became the fourth country in the world to recognize gay marriage after Parliament finally passed legislation.

Then I'm further aggravated by his speech being excused away as being written by Vatican officials instead of himself. Perhaps then what! The Pope didn't know what he was reading?? aaahhhhh
